  • Wellness Services
  • You can think of us as a family doctor for your pet. Marion Animal Hospital is a general practice able to treat your pet’s every day and acute health care needs. If the need arises, we can refer your pet to a specialist to ensure the best treatment possible for your pet.

  • Medical Services
  • Our knowledgeable staff and our facilities allow us to deal with a variety of medical conditions your pet may experience. We will work with you to provide your pet with the care and comfort needed to manage many medical conditions. When necessary, we can teach you how to manage chronic medical conditions at home. We hope we do not have to see you or your pet for an emergency but if we do, we are equipped to handle the situation. In some cases, your pet may require hospitalization and further diagnostic tests.

  • Chiropractic Care
  • Chiropractic care is offered for both wellness and to alleviate pain.

  • Therapy Laser Pain Management
  • We are excited to be able to offer our patients an additional source to help them manage pain. Laser therapy does a great deal to help with pain and inflammation, and to encourage healing. Laser therapy provides these benefits without side effects. We have used laser therapy on several of our older patients as an additional method to help with arthritis, and we have been pleased with the results. We also use laser therapy to help with post surgical pain.

  • Dentistry
  • Bad breath in pets, particularly dogs, is often joked about, but it is not a laughing matter. Dental disease affects pets just like humans, and there can be serious consequences of poor dental health. Poor dental health can lead to gum disease and eventual tooth loss. More importantly, dental disease can lead to illness throughout the body from exposure to the bacteria in the mouth. Dental disease can impact the kidneys, liver, heart or lungs. We provide a full range of dental services, from cleanings to extractions.

  • Radiology
  • We are happy to provide this essential service to your pet when needed. Radiology can provide valuable information about your pet's bones, gastrointestinal tract (stomach, intestines, and colon), respiratory tract (lungs), heart, and genitourinary system (bladder, prostate). It can be used alone or in conjunction with other diagnostic tools to provide a list of possible causes for a pet’s condition, identify the exact cause of a problem, or rule out other possible problems. Our new digital x-ray system allows us to more easily correspond with specialists if needed, to provide more complete care for your pet.

  • Surgical Services
  • We provide many surgical services, including spaying and neutering. You can feel comforted in knowing that your pet is well cared for before, during, and after surgery. To help you make an informed decision, surgery will be explained in detail prior to any procedures. Although the risk of an anesthetic death in a normal healthy pet is very rare, our monitoring devices and procedures allow us to respond to an anesthetic emergency faster. Faster responses can save lives. Your pet’s vital signs will be monitored during surgery, and your pet will be given oxygen as needed. We take great concern in your pet’s comfort. After surgery, your pet will be given appropriate pain medication and monitoring. The length of hospitalization following surgery will vary based on your pet’s needs. Rest assured in knowing that hospital visitation is allowed. Upon discharge, you will be given the instructions and any medicines you may need to care for your pet at home.
